International Conference of Students of Technology in Denmark: let's talk about the issues related to European voluntary youth-work!

From 8th to 14th of November 2011, Copenhagen students will host of the XVII Autumn International Conference of Students of Technology organized by BEST (Board of European Students of Technology).

During the seven days duration of this Conference, over 150 youth-leaders - students of engineering, technology and sciences from 95 universities from 32 European countries - will gather in Denmark to discuss issues related to European voluntary youth-work and making decision regarding the future of this growing youth network. Event will take place in the heart of Copenhagen at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

The Autumn International Conference of BEST is one of the most important international working meetings of the organization hosted by BEST Copenhagen. Held annually, it assembles delegates from all committees of BEST as well as representatives of Local BEST groups (LBGs) together with representatives of Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES), German youth network Bonding, Association des États Généraux des Étudiants de l'Europe AEGEE, Law Student's Association ELSA and European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management ESTIEM. For this 17th edition, the leaders and members from the IAESTE Copenhagen, Danish student organization DSE and Polyteknisk Forening (PF-Polytechnical Union) will also take part of the conference, working together as a single working and decision-making body.

During the event, students will not only achieve common future projects but also improve their personal qualities and knowledge in areas far from their studies, which aims to enhance participants' soft skills. Delegates will maintain the symbiotic relationship between technical students and industry and bringing a positive impact on their life and education of technical students.

The conference will provide an important space for discussion, exchange experiences, make decisions and launch new ideas. Participants from 32 European countries with different cultures will work together to create a better education for the technical students. In order to achieve results they will break barriers, work on common understanding and people development.
